The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety has issued its final report comprising 148 recommendations.
The final report - Care, Dignity and Respect - is just the start of an opportunity for providers, government and the community to work in partnership towards an aged care system all Australians can be proud of. While legislative, funding and regulatory changes are likely for quite some time, the final report's recommendations are the catalyst for change now to drive sector reform around care experience, quality and safety; workforce design; technology and innovation; strategic planning; infrastructure optimisation and operational alignment.

The time is now for providers to go beyond what is expected; reimagining aged care through the lens of the person requiring care, their workforce and the communities they operate in to deliver a new aged care experience.
