PwC Australia has today released its 2025 Annual Report, showcasing a year of progress and an AI-powered growth strategy, as it builds on its vision to become Australia's pre-eminent professional services firm.
Complete with audited financial statements and a remuneration report, the firm’s 2025 Annual Report captures a year of evolution by embedding AI into the business model, with responsible use and human oversight at the core.
PwC Australia CEO, Kevin Burrowes, said the firm is now focused on maintaining momentum as a trusted market leader.
"In 2025, we embraced extraordinary and rapid change. When confronted with the challenges of AI, we didn’t stand still. We moved deliberately and decisively."
“Our ambitious AI plan has enhanced our business and the work we produce for our clients. But we know that trust and quality are non-negotiable to our future success. That’s why we’re scaling AI responsibly, upskilling to keep our humans at the helm, and putting rigorous standards on AI, whether it's deployed internally or for a client.”
PwC Australia has deployed transformative AI tools and solutions, built with trust-by-design. These include the network’s AI-native next generation audit platform and tax advice AI tool, and seven new agentic solutions supporting clients with enterprise AI adoption. AI has freed up capacity for the firm’s people to focus on higher value work, while clients benefit from bespoke solutions, deeper insights, and faster analysis.
The firm’s evolution has been underpinned by a significant investment in AI upskilling, to help teams use AI responsibly and enhance critical human capabilities. This includes a new firmwide AI Foundations course, ongoing executive AI training for all partners and managing directors, and an AI immersion program for graduates which will launch later this year. The firm has also expanded its AI Champions community to more than 530 members.
PwC Australia’s independent Governance Board Chair, John M. Green, said the firm’s direction and priorities are clear, with a continuing focus on building a leading culture.
"During a time of unprecedented complexity, we’ve made significant reforms in governance, culture and accountability. Many of these were foreshadowed in our Commitments to Change Action Plan, which was central to our progress. Our momentum evidenced by this Annual Report is a testament to that."
“We’re now moving into a new chapter of sustainable growth, anchored in a culture of curiosity, collaboration and challenge. As AI accelerates, we’re keeping up the pace by investing even more in our people and technology. Our industry expertise, combined with responsible AI use, is making PwC Australia a partner of choice for clients navigating their own AI transformation journeys. With the many opportunities ahead, we’re focused on staying at the forefront not only in 2026 but beyond.”
