Kevin Burrowes appointed for second term as PwC Australia CEO

Wednesday, 19 August 2026

PwC Australia partners have voted to approve the appointment of Kevin Burrowes as Chief Executive Officer for a second and final term through to 30 June 2028.

The appointment follows a formal CEO succession process, including nomination, assessment and due diligence stages led by PwC Australia’s Independent Chair. The process reflects governance reforms introduced as part of the firm's Commitments to Change.

The ballot was independently administered, with a majority of partners voting in support of the appointment.

PwC Australia’s independent Governance Board Chair, John M. Green, said this appointment will provide stability and continuity, as the firm continues to build on its momentum and embed lasting governance and cultural change.

“The firm has made significant progress across the past three years in embedding cultural change and governance reforms. At the same time, the firm has embraced the opportunity to transform how it operates and delivers for clients; with deep industry expertise and the responsible use of AI at the forefront."

"As a Governance Board, we can see the momentum and how the changes the firm has made have positioned us well to continue building trust and confidence in the firm, and more broadly.”

“On behalf of the Governance Board, I congratulate Kevin on his reappointment and thank partners for their engagement throughout the process,” Mr Green said.

Mr Burrowes thanked the Governance Board for its endorsement and partners for their support, as he outlined his vision for the firm across the next two years.

“I am incredibly grateful to have the partnership’s mandate to continue leading this firm. Our transformation across the past three years has positioned us well, and we are incredibly proud of the changes we’ve made and continue to embed."

Across the next two years, I look forward to working with the partnership on our ambitious agenda, while leaning into industry reform,” he said.
