PwC is proud to support Customer Experience & Insight (CXI) research group at Swinburne University. The CXI ExChange Omnibus is a quarterly study of consumer experience and behaviour, based on an online survey of 500 Australian shoppers. We present some of the key findings.

In the past twelve months, half of surveyed shoppers have purchased a meal kit - pre-proportioned food ingredients for meals to make at home. Consumer uptake of meal kits remains steady however, with only one in eight shoppers indicating they are likely to buy meal kits more frequently in the future. It appears consumers are driven primarily by price and convenience when making decisions about where they will source their food.
