New advisory board adds firepower to PwC’s CMO Advisory practice

13 March

PwC Australia has today announced the creation of an advisory board to provide guidance and to add further strength to PwC’s CMO Advisory practice.

The two external appointees to the board are Sunita Gloster, CEO, Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA), and Mark Buckman, Managing Director, Customer and Retail, Foxtel.

PwC Chief Creative Officer Russel Howcroft said Sunita’s and Mark’s appointment would “turbocharge” the CMO advisory offering at a time when the business was at a critical growth phase.

“Having industry leaders such as Mark and Sunita joining our CMO Advisory board is a critical part of our growth strategy for this new practice,” he said.

“Since announcing our plans in December, we have been overwhelmed by the response from organisations who are looking for trusted, transparent and independent advice across a range of marketing and brand activities. When combined with our own internal experts, we are confident that the service we are offering is not only highly relevant, but also represents the very best thinking in the brand and marketing space.”

PwC’s CMO Advisory has six key areas of expertise including Brand Strategy, Marketing Strategy, Market Insights, Marketing Performance and Analytics, Marketing Structure and Operations and Creative Solutions.

Sunita Gloster said: “I’m excited to be joining PwC’s CMO Advisory Board at a time when there is significant change and opportunity across the marketer’s agenda. The move by consultancy firms into the marketing practice reflects the growing awareness of the critical importance of the marketing function to generating sustainable profits.”

Mark Buckman said: “I'm delighted to be joining PwC's CMO advisory board, and some of the sharpest brains in brand and marketing, at such a critical time of disruption and transformation. PwC is perfectly placed to assist clients at the time given their depth of expertise and approach to helping clients solve their most critical brand issues.”
