Peter has over 28 years’ experience in delivering assurance services to many of Australia’s largest ASX-listed companies, mostly in the financial services sector. Before his current role, he led the firm’s Financial Services Assurance Practice, and specialised in delivering assurance services and advice to clients in the banking and investment management industries.
Peter has contributed to numerous regulatory and industry-based initiatives, for bodies such as the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC), the Australian Auditing Standards Board and the Financial Services Council. He remains an interested commentator on the role of auditors in providing confidence to capital markets.
Peter has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He is also a board member, and chair of the finance and risk committee, of the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children.
