Managing Partner, Assurance, PwC Australia
Matt is PwC Australia’s Assurance Leader and a member of the firm’s Executive Board. He is also PwC Asia Pacific’s Assurance Leader, and a member of the PwC Global Assurance leadership team.
Matt has worked with PwC for over 25 years. In addition to his role as an external and internal auditor for ASX100 companies, Matt has extensive experience delivering trust, confidence and insight to both Boards and senior management of some of Australia’s largest companies on risk and internal audit, transactions, accounting advice and Board and Audit Committee effectiveness. Matt’s professional career has afforded him the opportunity to work in London, the United States, Asia and all states in Australia.
Matt is a member of the Foundation Council for Western Sydney University (WSU). In this role he advocates for young Australians who might not otherwise be afforded a tertiary education – helping them realise their potential. At a personal level Matt works with WSU students, sponsoring them through preparation for their careers and further academic studies. Matt is also a member of WSU's Audit and Risk Committee.
Matt has a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Matt is married to Nicole and together they have two teenage children. He is a musician (guitar), an avid sports watcher and has a passion for working with young people helping them to chase big dreams.
