Chief Diversity, Inclusion and Well-being Adviser, PwC Australia
Julie is the Chief Diversity, Inclusion and Well-being Officer, responsible for supporting the firm and our clients to realise the benefits of diversity and inclusion and ensure that mental health, resilience and well-being are business priorities. Julie has extensive experience providing D&I advice to business leaders and boards across a diverse range of industries including financial services, media, energy and mining, government and the tertiary sector.
Prior to commencing with PwC in 2017, Julie spent 9 years as the Executive Director of UN Women Australia, working across Government, the private sector and the community to identify the barriers to gender equality and challenging the laws, policies and attitudes that perpetuate inequality. Julie has represented UN Women Australia and the Australian Government at numerous United Nations Conferences and UN Missions and has a detailed understanding of global policy responses and best practice regarding equality and inclusion.
Until recently, Julie served as the inaugural Gender Advisor to the Chief of the Australian Defence Force working to support the cultural change program within Defence.
Julie is Chair of Brisbane Girls Grammar School and the QLD Male Champions of Change.
Julie holds an Executive MBA (USyd), Masters in Public Policy (ANU) and Bachelors Degrees in Business Management and Arts (UQ). She completed a Churchill Fellowship in 2014 and graduated as a Fellow in Ethical Leadership (MBS)l in 2015.
