Partner, Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services Leader, PwC Australia

John leads the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services business unit (CMAAS). CMAAS specialises in providing accounting advisory services to businesses undertaking complex transactions, dealing with new accounting standards or planning cross-border capital markets transactions, including debt/equity raising, IPOs and M&As.

John is recognised for his leadership and management skills. He has significant experience in capital markets transactions, large scale project execution, mergers, and financial accounting and regulatory reporting across the banking, insurance and broader financial services industry.

John has extensive experience working at a global level with companies in the US, Australia, Korea, Japan, India, Chile and Brazil, and has lived in New York and Tokyo. He is the global lead partner for one of PwC's significant financial services clients, which involves responsibility for the delivery of services across multiple countries. As a member of PwC's Japan leadership team, John assists Japanese organisations to take the necessary steps to adapt and grow in Australia and also helps Australian organisations looking to expand into Japan.

He is a board member of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) and Melbourne Victory Football Club, and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Leadership Forum (ANZLF) and the Australia Japan Business Co-operation Committee (AJBCC). John is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
