Our Vacation Program is the first step in your career with PwC. Open to students in their second last year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, this internship runs over four to six weeks during summer. The program also offers an opportunity to secure a spot in our Graduate Program. Applications open in February each year.

Cyber Security Consulting

Using your skills in problem-solving, critical thinking and tech, you’ll help protect our clients against cyber threats of all kinds. As a part of the Cyber Security Consulting team, you’ll be involved in developing strategies for businesses to safeguard their data, people and technology, test preparedness through penetration testing and red-teaming, and manage cyber attacks.

Using your computer programming (coding) and networking skills, in Cyber Security you’ll help protect our clients against cyber threats. Whether you’re in our Risk Assurance or Consulting practice, you’ll work closely with technology, systems and networks, monitor and detect network abnormalities, respond to incidents, learn how to generate and apply threat intelligence and advise on risk and crisis management.

Who’s eligible?

We accept people from all degree backgrounds and life experiences.

To be eligible for our Vacation Program you’ll need to:

  • Be in your penultimate year of university  – that’s your second last year of study.

  • Have full-time working rights within Australia.

If you’re not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or have Permanent Residency in Australia, you will need to provide the following -

  • Your visa notice.

  • One of the following: IELTS, OET, TOEFL, iBT, PTE or CAE. 

  •  You’ll also need to meet the minimum requirements as set out by the Australian Department of Immigration. View these requirements.

These will be requested upon successfully reaching the final stage of assessment.

I interviewed/applied last year and wasn’t selected. Can I reapply?

Yes! We welcome you to reapply, if you’re in your penultimate year of study. 

If you’ve already taken the time to apply for a position with us in the last year, please note that your online assessment gameplay is valid for one year. You will be asked to log in and submit your results for your new application.

Can I apply to more than one location or business area?

We only accept one application per person. We recommend that you apply to the location and business area that most closely aligns with your skills, passions and interests. 

If you reach the final stages of our recruitment process you’ll be contacted by a recruiter to confirm the business area that you are being considered for.

Please note: some business areas only offer student opportunities in certain locations.
