PwC is honoured to be awarded a range of awards and accolades recognising our achievements in professional services, client relationships and as an employer. These honours are pleasing indications that we are listening and responding to our clients' needs, and playing a responsible role in our wider community and the environment.
PwC has again been recognised by clients with market accolades at the Financial Review Client Choice Awards 2015, receiving the award for Best Accounting Firm (revenue over $500m) and Best SA firm award. Independently researched by Beaton Research and Consulting, the awards have celebrated the best in professional services since 2005. Voted for by clients, buyers and users, it remains the largest study of clients of professional services in the world.
Client feedback on the night praised PwC’s high quality work, cost competitiveness, strength in client service and reliability.
“These awards are specifically important to PwC as they are based on input from our most important judges, our client." said Markets Managing Partner Mike McGrath. “We work to put the client at the centre of everything we do. These awards recognise PwC as a leading services provider and we are committed to continuing this high standard of delivery. I believe our ability to offer a collaborative approach across the firm has contributed significantly to these wins, and has firmly established us ahead of our competitors."
PwC has been named Firm of the Year in the inaugural Australian Accounting Awards. The awards, run by Accountants Daily, recognise the outstanding individuals and firms across the accounting industry.
Awards judge George Vernados said that PwC was 'well ahead' of other candidates in using metrics to remain focused and to adjust plans for success. “Their process includes immediate feedback and constant checking for value ads. The process is very reminiscent of a modern retailer surveying customers as soon as possible after they have engaged with the business. True customer focus and customer-led strategy and execution.” he said.
National Managing Partner for Assurance, Peter van Dongen says: "This recognition is a fantastic way to kick off the year. It's a great achievement for the firm and a testament to everyone's hard work."
PwC Australia is pleased to announce it was selected by The Workplace Gender Equality Agency WGEA as one of 90 organisations in Australia as an Employer of Choice in 2015.
It is a wonderful recognition of the firm's and fellow organisation's efforts towards gender diversity and employer commitment and best practice in promoting gender equality in Australian workplaces.
PwC Australia CEO Luke Sayers said: "We are honoured to be listed among 90 organisations at the frontline of driving positive change in the WGEA Employer of choice for Gender Equality. I congratulate all of the 2015 citation holders for their initiative and commitment."
To earn the citation, employers have to demonstrate best practice in seven separate criterions - leadership, accountability and focus; learning and development; gender pay gap; flexible working; employee consultation; preventing harassment and discrimination, and targets for improving gender equality outcomes.

PwC Australia has once again been recognised in the Australian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ACCSR) top 10 list of corporate social responsibility (CSR) organisations.
PwC, along with engineering firm Arup, are the only two professional services firms to make the list. We’re also one of only five organisations (including BHP Billiton, NAB, Westpac and Arup) to make a repeat appearance in the annual list. ACCSR describes the top 10 as “great examples of long-standing and thoughtful commitments to advancing responsible business practices in their organisations.”
