Shared Value

Creating a world where businesses solve social issues profitably.

Shared value is all about doing business differently. At PwC, we want to solve social challenges through the business we do everyday.

Shared value connects people, businesses, technology and ideas to create new solutions that help solve challenging social problems.

These business models are for profit and designed to achieve both sustainable economic and social prosperity.

How we deliver shared value

There are three key ways that shared value is achieved:

Products and Markets
Reimaging products and markets

Creating new products and services which better serve societal needs.

Products and Markets
Redefining productivity in the value chain

Using resources, energy, suppliers, logistics and employees differently, and more productively.

Products and Markets
Enabling local development

Improving the local environment by supporting skill-development and capacity-building.

Shared Value Project

PwC Australia is a proud member of the Shared Value Project, the peak body for advancing the adoption of shared value in the Asia Pacific.

It does this by advocating for the shared value movement, whilst educating the business sector on how to put this important business strategy into practice.

With a focus on collaboration and knowledge exchange, the Shared Value Project hosts regular events to pass on the evidence around shared value. Through these developed networks of influence, its members are effectively reshaping the future of business - to achieve sustainable economic and social prosperity.
