Tax Data & Analytics Academy

Empowering tax departments to drive enterprise value

Do you understand how data is central to the Tax Function of the Future?
Does your tax team have the necessary skills to efficiently extract and analyse data from multiple sources?
Are you using automation to eliminate time spent on manual data handling?
Do you have the ability to draw insights from large volumes of data using visualisation?

PwC predicts that a successful tax professional of the future will be highly proficient in data analysis, statistics and technology. Our Tax Data & Analytics Academy is a tangible way you can learn these skills in the context of tax. The Academy starts with a one and a half day workshop that consists of a mix of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on exercises, featuring software tools and techniques currently available for automation, data processing and data visualisations. You can then put what you learn into practice within your organisation with the support of a PwC professional over a four week period to answer follow-up questions. At the end of the four weeks, you will have the option to re-group with us to work through client-specific opportunities.

The real and applicable skills learnt in our Tax Data & Analytics Academy are designed to enable you to operate in the Tax Function of the Future.

At the end of the academy you will be able to build workflows to automate the extraction of data from Excel reports, be a proficient user of a data visualisation tool and have learnt a framework for building your tax data ecosystem.

Attendance qualifies for 12 hours of CPD

Who should attend the Tax Data Academy?

Our Tax Data & Analytics Academy will give you practical experience in using data extraction and transformation tools such as Alteryx, and visualisation software like Qlik Sense, Tableau or Power BI by working through a real life case study to build an interactive tax management dashboard from tax working papers.
