Did you know that most of our vacationers receive an offer for a full-time graduate position after completing the program? If this isn’t reason enough to apply, then read on…

If you’re in your penultimate year of university (that’s second to last) in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, our summer vacation program offers you  first-hand experience at the heart of our business. The program runs over three to eight weeks (length will vary across our offices) and includes full time work experience during the university break, allowing you to get a head-start in your career before graduating.

During the program, you’ll participate in challenging and relevant work on client engagements, attend networking events, participate in a community service project or client challenge, and enhance your personal and professional development through coaching and mentoring. It’s a great way to boost your employability, as well as giving you the chance to return to uni with a full time job offer in hand!

What you'll do

Whichever business area you choose, we’re sure you’ll find this a worthwhile investment of your time this Summer. Be it the clients; the people, the networks, or the social events – you’ll be surprised at the skills you’ll develop and how much you’ll learn. Opportunity is at the heart of a career at PwC and our Vacation Program offers just that – the opportunity to return to university with your graduate job offer in hand.

Training & development

As a Vacationer, we don’t expect you to have the technical skills of experienced professionals. So before you start, you'll be assigned a Buddy and a Coach.

The PwC Buddy-Coach system ensures you are given support from day one, at both the peer and manager level. From your induction on arrival day, to ongoing development activities managed by the Campus team, we’re dedicated to giving you the chance to discover your potential throughout your placement and experience the real PwC learning culture.

You'll also be encouraged to join us at your local office Welcome and Connectivity events in the lead up to starting your placement, as well as both social and developmental activities and sessions during the program.

What we look for

Whether you’re studying science, technology, engineering, maths, finance or the arts - there’s a place for you. We come from all types of degree backgrounds and life experiences, and bring our unique views to our teams.

We recruit penultimate year students (that's the year prior to you finishing) into the vacation program, and whilst you don’t need to know exactly what you want to do when you finish university, we encourage you to take the time to understand how you can best align your purpose, skills and passions to one of the many teams at PwC.

As a vacationer you’ll be assessed against the competencies of our global framework, the PwC Professional. This  is how we define and encourage leadership at all levels - from vacationer to Partner. Learn more about the framework and the skills we look for here.
