Careers fairs and PwC information events provide you with the opportunity to meet PwC staff to find out more about the firm. We will be
visiting a university campus near you soon.
Our selection process may differ slightly from office to office, but it generally follows in this order:
- Online application form - The online application form provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate your balance of academic and work achievements, written communication skills, enthusiasm, maturity, commitment to a career at PwC and interests beyond your school and university studies. View tips on how to apply, or for detailed information on what competencies we will be assessing.
- Online testing and personality questionnaire - After we've reviewed your online application, we may contact you and ask that you complete some online ability tests. The tests typically take 30 - 45 minutes to complete and your results are verified when you visit us to attend your first round interview.
Later in the recruitment process you may be asked to complete a Personality Questionnaire. This assesses how you like to work. There are no right or wrong answers in behavioural style, although some behaviours may be more or less appropriate to certain situations.
All online tests must be completed before you visit us for the next stage of the process, which typically provides you with a 24 - 48 hour window to complete the tests.
For more information about the assessments used, including practice tests and example questions, refer to www.shldirect.com.
- Telephone interview - The telephone interview is a conversation with a PwC staff member which gives you an opportunity to learn more about the program you have applied for as well as giving us the opportunity to learn more about you and your motivations.
This discussion is typically a 'behavioural based' interview and is just as important as a face-to-face interview.
- Assessment centre / face-to-face interviews - Depending on your location, you may be asked to attend a short one-on-one interview or an assessment centre.
The one-to-one interview will focus on your interests, experiences and your motivations. This is a 'behavioural based' interview and it provides you with an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about working with us.
An assessment centre helps us to see how you work with teams of people Be prepared to actively participate on the day. Group activities and written tasks are typically used to assess a number of core competencies.
- Offer - Congratulations on your successful performance throughout the selection process. We hope this step is the start of a rewarding career journey at PwC.
