If you're currently combining full-time study with a passion for art, music, community, sport, academic, volunteering communities or another extra-curricular activity then the PwC Student Experience Award is your chance to be recognised.
The Prize Package
The 11 winning students will receive an all-expense paid trip to Sydney for the national award ceremony with our Australian CEO and representatives from the firm leadership team. The prize package includes a Sydney Harbour Bridge climb, financial assistance towards the course or cause of the winners' choice and a professional development package designed to assist them with preparing for the workforce, regardless of which career they would like to pursue.
Our Professional Development Package
- $500 towards a course or cause of the winners' choice* furthering their skills or promoting their activities outside of university
- A two hour session with recruitment and development experts to provide career coaching
- A one hour follow-up session with a recruitment expert to provide further career/development coaching
*The course or cause of choice must meet the requirements of either developing your skills or being utilised in the activities you're passionate about outside of university and must be pre-approved by PwC. The $500 will either be paid directly to the course administrator or deposited into your account on proof of payment for the pre-approved course/cause, at the discretion of PwC. The $500 must be spent within one year of receiving the award.
Eligibility
The 2012 PwC Student Experience Award is open to domestic and international students currently studying any degree discipline at an Australian university, who have demonstrated achievement in their studies and beyond.
You are eligible to apply for the PwC Student Experience Award if you have:
- At least one year of study remaining of an undergraduate, honours, masters or doctorate degree
- Demonstrated a commitment towards achieving excellence in your studies
- Active participation and/or achievement in extra-curricular activities outside of university
- Contributed/contributing towards a personal or community initiative to better yourself or making a positive change for the future
Award categories
The 2012 PwC Student Experience Award is broken into the following 11 categories. One winner from each category will be selected. Proof of enrolment at the university may be requested.

How to enter
The 2012 PwC Student Experience Award has a two-stage process.
Stage one
- Please list in 200 words, or less, your participation and/or achievements in your community as well as any extra-curricular activities you participate in outside of university.
- Please tell us in 200 words, or less, how you achieve excellence in your work while maintaining a balanced life. In your entry, we encourage you to demonstrate a commitment towards achieving in your studies, building strong networks, actively participating and/or achieving in extra-curricular activities outside of university and contributing towards a personal or community initiative to create value for yourself or making a positive change for the future.
Stage two
- If you're successful in stage one, you'll be contacted by PwC to validate your information. The next step is to create a video which will help us get to know you and provides you with the opportunity to communicate your strengths to us in a creative way. We'll provide the second stage question once you've reached this stage.
