Derek Kidley

Derek Kidley is PwC Australia's Managing Partner of Advisory and our East Cluster Markets Leader.

Derek is responsible for maintaining our strong market focus and working with business unit leaders to drive collaboration across our businesses.

Derek was previously PwC Australia's Managing Partner for Clients and Industries, working with the line of service and sector leaders to drive revenue growth, market share gains and margin expansion.

Prior to this, Derek has worked as our Sydney Office Managing Partner and headed up our resources industry sector, where he was responsible for mining, oil and gas, and energy utilities. Derek was also a member of PwC's Global Energy Council. He joined the PwC Australia Energy & Utilities team in March 1997 and has extensive experience across the energy sector, focusing particularly on corporate strategy and transactions, market reform, regulation and organisational change.

Before joining PwC Australia, Derek held a number of senior management positions with British Gas and Centrica in the United Kingdom. These included key roles in business strategy, retail marketing, tariff development and implementation and regulatory policy.

Derek holds a BA (Hons) Economics and a Master of Business Administration.

Derek likes to spend his spare time with his wife Carmelan and daughter Liesel, and enjoys music and theatre.
