Ian Kieran Award for Corporate Social Responsibility

At the 2011 Australian Human Resources Institute National Awards, held in Melbourne on November 17 2011, PwC received the Ian Kieran Award for Corporate Social Responsibility. The award recognised our commitment to working in partnership with our networks and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities toward the common goal of reconciliation in Australia.

With the launch of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), our aim was to identify actions that would help to bring existing expertise and opportunities to create a positive impact for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. At the same time, we aimed to focus on initiatives that would engage employees and grow cultural awareness across the firm.

Top 10 Employer 2011 in the Australian Workplace Equality Index

PwC has been named as one of the top 10 employers in Australia for aiming to ensure inclusion in the workplace for employees that identify as LGBT. The announcement was made by former High Court Judge Michael Kirby and Olympian Matthew Mitcham at the Annual Pride in Diversity Business Luncheon and Awards Celebration on May 17 2011.
BRW Client Choice Awards
PwC wins Market Leader 6 years in a row
At the annual BRW Client Choice Awards held in Sydney, PwC was announced as the 2011 Market Leader, for the sixth consecutive year. The BRW Client Choice Awards are the most prestigious awards across all categories of professional services firms in Australia, and unusual because they are determined by clients not a panel of judges.

Winning this award means that the firm's Private Clients, Assurance, Advisory, Tax & Legal clients continue to consider PwC as the "professional services market leader" servicing their needs. For this year's awards, 26,000 clients of professional services, were surveyed in November 2010 about their client interactions with one or more firms over the previous 12 months.
